Prenplants Offer for Garden Centres

It is our aim to supply the customer with a range of high quality plants throughout the season. In spring, we aim to have a wide range of plants including a few unusual varieties as well as the much-loved favourites. Through out the summer months we provide a range of more colourful "impulse" plants. This is followed in autumn by such seasonal favourites as anemones, asters, sedums and hellebores, thus providing an ever-changing selection, which will always have something to tempt your customers and increase your profitability. It is our intention to offer good quality plants and provide a high level of personal service. We feel that because of the quality of our plants and their exceptionally good shelf life, they can command higher prices thus increasing your profitability.

We are always happy to discuss ways of enhancing your plant displays and improving your sales. To ease handling and help you display our plants, all are delivered in attractive, returnable correx trays. Trays returned in good, clean, reusable condition would receive a refund equivalent to 2p per plant. Plants are produced in rigid pots and individually labelled, using picture labels where available.

In spring we provide a prompt delivery service throughout Surrey and Sussex, with looking good/availability lists faxed weekly to our customers. Deliveries are free for orders over £200 within 30 miles of the nursery. In summer we operate a regular van sales service, in Surrey, Sussex and parts of neighbouring counties. Please contact us if you wish to be included in the round. We are always happy to discuss your needs and would welcome suggestions on how we could improve our service to you. You are most welcome to inspect our stock on the nursery but please telephone first so that we may give you our fullest attention.

PRENPLANTS OFFER TO LANDSCAPE GARDENERS AND DESIGNERS

More and more Landscape Gardeners and Garden Designers are coming to Prenplants for our large range of high quality, herbaceous perennials. We are also increasing the range of plants we grow to include many of those plants favoured by designers.

There are many ways that we can deal with your plant requirements.
If you send us a list of your requirements (by fax, email, post or any other method) we will let you know the plants that are available and suggest close substitutes for plants that are not available. You can then place your order and we will get it ready for you. We only supply plants that we produce. If you are looking for places that will supply your whole order we are happy to recommend other local plant suppliers.

Provided you give us sufficient notice you can collect your order any time during working hours (Mon – Fri, 8.30 -17.00). There is no minimum order for collection. Orders can be delivered by our own transport, for local deliveries or by carrier for deliveries further away. Orders over £250 in value are delivered free within 30 miles of the nursery. All other deliveries will incur a delivery charge which will be dependant on the size of the order, the distance travelled and the complexity of the delivery.

To make payment easier we now have credit card facilities available at the nursery.

Customers are welcome to inspect our stock at anytime during working hours and even bring their clients, provided they are careful and realise this is a working nursery and not a garden centre.

Select and Collect

At certain times it is possible to pick out stock directly but this is restricted during our busy seasons.

From March until May we are busy with orders and many of the plants on the nursery will be pre ordered or already sold. We are therefore restricting “self service” customers to Fridays only. This is because most of the orders will have been dealt with by Friday and we will have a better idea of what stock is available.

From June until August we are less busy and customers can select their own plants on Thursday and Friday

From September until February we will welcome you with open arms (well not literally but you know what we mean) and you are free to select and collect any day when we are open. Note that in the depths of winter we tend to close at 4 o’ clock.

Even when we are busy we are happy for customers to inspect the stock and make a list of their requirements which we can check against stock allocation and then get your order out ready for you to collect at a mutually convenient time.

Prenplants is always looking for ways in which it can improve its service to landscapers and garden designers. At present we are working on a database which will allow customers to select plants by colour, height, flowering time and preferred conditions. This will take some time to complete but we are always happy to advise on plants for different situations.
